Directs and manages the wastewater treatment operations and staff at a 46-MGD advanced secondary wastewater treatment facility utilizing preliminary, primary, BNR, and ultraviolet disinfection for dry weather flow; wet weather treatment up to 70-MGD utilizing chlorination/dechlorination; solids handling including dissolved air flotation and anaerobic digestion.wastewater treatment facility on a shift basis. Ensures safe continuity of operations, execution of proper technical procedures, and execution of management policies that result in contract compliance and compliance with all applicable permits and regulations.
Requires 5-10 years comprehensive knowledge wastewater treatment processes and related equipment in a supervisory and/or management capacity, and a thorough understanding of wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance procedures.
Required: RI Grade II wastewater treatment plant operator certification or higher, High School Diploma, Driver's License.
