Summary: Provides direct care and maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu for Patients on assigned unit. The Mental Health Worker II must adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures. The Mental Health Worker II provides care for a defined group of patients care as assigned or directed by the RN and Nurse Manager. Examples of position responsibilities include but may not be limited to: observing patients in the milieu, documenting patient observations (safety rounds) and accurately reporting patient status to the RN; monitoring vital signs and reporting findings to the RN; facilitating groups and activities, assisting patients with ADLs . The Mental Health Worker II assists the registered nurse and under the direction of the RN, he/she provides nursing care to promote recovery, prevent illness and assist patients and families to reach optimal health as well as assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers as per department policy. He/she is often assigned complex patients especially those requiring hands on nursing care. He/she serves as a preceptor for newly hired or transferring MHW I or CNA s
Education:High School Diploma, or equivalent, required. Bachelors degree preferred. CNA certificate required. Further training, education, or coursework in the field of Psychology, Nursing, or Addiction Medicine preferred. Participation in the Departments orientation and training program is required.
Experience: Experience in a psychiatric and/or addiction medicine treatment setting preferred. Current CPR Certification required; Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure required. Psychiatric and/or addictions certification preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
