Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
Monitor and relay discrepancies to the field and overseas.
Keep sales abreast of any major lane developments.
Produce all necessary documents for overseas and U.
S.
Customs, including Mawb, manifest, SED, labels etc.
Ensure all origins freight and documents are ready for carriage.
Rate and enter costs against master job.
Book all shipments with carriers.
Determine routings for overseas and origins.
Maintain an orderly workplace.
Comply with Our Clients C-TPAT Security Profile.
Expected to uphold Our Clients Core Values.
Qualifications:
Education And/Or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); College degree preferred; and at least 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have international logistics experience in both Air and Ocean.
Certifications:
While not a requirement, a US Customs Broker License would be preferred.
Language Skills -- Ability To:
Write routine reports and correspondence; and, Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills - Ability To:
Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability -- Ability To:
Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The position is subject to high levels of stress.
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours.
