Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Substance Use Therapist to join our team at Men's Roads to Recovery.
As a TPC-Substance Use Therapist, you will provide individual and group therapy to men struggling with substance use disorders.
You will play a critical role in helping individuals on their journey to recovery by providing evidence-based treatment interventions and support.
Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Valid licensure or certification as a Substance Use Counselor or Therapist (e.
g.
, LCDC, CADC, LADC, or similar).
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing substance use counseling or therapy.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and treatment interventions for substance use disorders.
Familiarity with trauma-informed care and its application to substance use treatment.
Excellent communication and active listening skills.
Ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients.
Demonstrated understanding of cultural diversity and the impact it has on the therapeutic process.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Provide evidence-based counseling and therapy to individuals and facilitate group therapy sessions.
Monitor clients' progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and address clients' treatment needs holistically.
Utilize trauma-informed practices to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely.
Stay up to date with current research and best practices in the field of substance use treatment.
Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development opportunities.
