Office Assistant for Naturopathic Medicine Practice

This is a high value office with patients expecting and receiving an exceptional level of service.
Therefore, the individual needs to be positive, patient, reliable, friendly and have an enthusiasm to learn.
They must have the ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor with patients and other office staff.
This is an essential position to the success of our naturopathic medicine office and truly the face of our practice.
We are small, friendly and team-oriented.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Greeting patients, answering telephone, educating potential new patients about the practice, high level of phone skills and scheduling appointments Administering COVID screening to patients per our policies Knowledge and initiative to take on responsibilities that include lab orders, supplement sales, inventory, etc as needed Ability to work both front office and back office responsibilities as needed (mostly front office) Faxing /scanning referrals/orders Work closely with providers to create a team environment producing high performance results Communicate with patients in a professional and friendly manner, satisfying patient expectations from check-in through the check-out process.
Maintain up to date knowledge of practice and services provided to respond to patient inquiries Effectively collect payments from patients upon check-out Clean and prep rooms as needed Preparing patient paperwork and provider's schedule for the following day Manage time and prioritize what is most important to keep the office running Computer skills that include proficiency in excel, word and EMR.
Prior medical administrative experience preferred Actively pursuing a healthy lifestyle This job is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave from February to May.
