The Director is responsible fordesigning, implementing, leading,and managing the strategic goals andobjectives of the Rhode Island Schoolfor the Deaf as established by theBoard of Trustees.
LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT ANDCOLLABORATION:
The functions of leadership,management, and collaboration are tobe integrated to achieve both productand process objectives.
Teamworkand mutually supportive methodsare ascribed as successful outcomesnecessary for providing high-qualityservice and achieving high-performancestandards.
Work must be conductedin ways that include and involve thosewho have a stake in the outcome, mostspecifically the students of the RISD,and must ensure that issues relatedto diversity, equity, and inclusion areaddressed in a comprehensive fashion.
The Director of the RISD must possessan uncompromising belief in the capacityof all children to learn to high levelsand be successful and in the power of aschool leader to provide the conditionsthat make that possible.
Must be anadvocate for students and schools anddemonstrate a positive commitmentto the role of the RIDE as an advocatefor all children, but most specifically,students attending the RISD.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works in cooperation with colleagueswith considerable latitude for the exerciseof initiative and independent judgment;work is reviewed upon completion ofresults obtained and on the collaborativeprocess used in achieving results.
The Director is subject to an annualperformance assessment conducted bythe Board of Trustees.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Facilitates, directs, coordinates, andassesses the work of professional,internal and external technical andsupport staff.
Participates in the RImodel of educator evaluation.
Work isreviewed in process, as necessary, andupon completion for achieving desiredresults, as are collaborative processesused in achieving results.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
