Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Attorney to join our Legal Team as a Staff Attorney.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting legal review of due diligence records, serve as the subject matter expert for GACC policy-related questions, and provide support to the compliance counsel with anti-corruption risk assessments and investigations.
The selected candidate will have demonstrated analytical and decision-making abilities and a strong interest in gaining expertise in Global Anti-Corruption Compliance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Comprehensive Due Diligence:
Review due diligence records for Textron Covered Business Partners (CBPs) worldwide (over 1,000 in total).
Identify red flags and potential risks in proposed third-party relationships.
Analyze adverse information from media searches and denied party screenings.
Review local law summaries for compliance.
Legal Analysis and Opinion:
Assess outside counsel opinions related to CBP investigations.
Evaluate Textron Business Unit rationale and compensation regarding CBP reviews.
Collaborate with Textron Business Unit Legal Counsel to address concerns and assess risks.
Provide recommendations for mitigating GACC risk.
Policy Guidance:
Develop guidance for Textron Corporate Officers regarding due diligence and CBP agreements.
Provide an overview of due diligence and recommendations for new CBP appointments or amendments to existing agreements.
Subject Matter Expert:
Serve as a legal resource for GACC Policy-related inquiries.
Offer guidance on due diligence for third-party Business Partners, transactions with government customers, gifts, hospitality, entertainment, travel for government officials, charitable contributions outside of the US, and GACC training needs.
Assist Compliance Counsel:
Aid in developing and clarifying updates to Textron's GACC Policy, Supplement, and procedures.
Support GACC risk assessments and implementation of new processes.
Monitor changes to anti-bribery laws and adjust Textron's policies accordingly.
Charitable Contributions:
Review all non-U.
S.
charitable contribution requests from Textron Business Units.
Identify GACC-related issues and provide recommendations for approval.
Investigation Support:
Assist in anti-corruption investigations and provide legal review for gift and entertainment expenses.
Training and Protocol Support:
Develop and deliver GACC training to Textron Business Units.
Offer support and guidance on the Freight Forwarder Protocol.
Employee Privacy Protection:
Ensure the privacy and security of employee personnel records, including compensation information Career Development:

Education:
Law degree from an accredited institution.
Admission in good standing to a State Bar.
Preferred Experience Corporate or law firm experience on compliance matters, such as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
