Would you like to be a part of a dynamic and productive team, conducting research on important and cutting-edge topics in health services? We are looking for a motivated Research Assistant to join Dr.
Linda Resnik's research team at the Providence VA Providence Healthcare System (VAPHS).
You will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge and learn new skills while providing support to various national studies focused on evaluating emerging and existing prosthetic technology and improving the quality of rehabilitation care for persons with chronic and disabling conditions.
The Research Assistant will have the opportunity to work closely with Dr.
Resnik, the Program Manager and other team members from the Providence VAMC and Brown University on multiple national studies involving primary data collection, health outcome measurement and medical device evaluation.
He/shemay take on different tasks including participant recruitment, scheduling and tracking; performing quality control; and assisting with data cleaning and analytic activities.
If interested, there may be opportunities to co-author poster presentations.
The person hired for this position will become an employee of the Ocean State Research Institute, the Nonprofit associated with the Providence VAMC, and will be located in a research building on the Providence VA Medical Center campus which houses multi-disciplinary researchers and support staff.
The position is 16 hours per week.
It may be possible to increase hours and become benefits eligible as new studies start up.
Requirements:
Experience as a research assistant for studies involving human subjects Bachelor's degree Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and attention to detail Team player who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with team members on the local and national level Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Nice to have:
Familiarity with policies regarding protection of human subjects Qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills Experience with developing meeting agendas and taking minutes Experience in scientific writing, manuscript, and research poster preparation Experience with REDCap Familiarity with EndNote Availability:
