Textron is seeking a dynamic and motivated Legal Claims Administrator to join our Litigation team comprised of 16 highly collaborative lawyers and legal professionals.
As a Legal Claims Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting Textron's national toxic tort docket by ensuring all claims follow the defined process and adhere to standards required for the program.

The selected candidate will serve as liaison between Textron's in-house counsel, National Coordinating Counsel, Regional Counsel, and insurers supporting our claims management processes.
The candidate will be responsible for producing reports, assembling data, maintaining records, and properly directing incoming matters to assignees while working directly with attorneys, legal professionals, retained counsel, vendors, and other functions at Textron's World Headquarters in Providence (RI) and throughout Textron's network of businesses.
ResponsibilitiesInsurance Reimbursement Track and manage insurance reimbursement requests from insurers for settlements and defense costs, ensuring timely follow-up until payments are received.
Accurately record payments in our matter management application.
Reporting and Coordination Deliver quarterly summaries of balances due from each insurer to the Finance team.
Manage scheduling for toxic tort weekly and monthly meetings.
Insurance Reimbursement Track and manage insurance reimbursement requests, ensuring timely follow-up until payments are received.
Accurately record payments in our matter management application.
Litigation Matter Management Acknowledge toxic tort lawsuits served on Textron and its businesses.
Create new toxic tort litigation matters, preparing cases for transmittal to Regional Counsel and National Coordinating Counsel.
Prepare and distribute claim notifications to insurers and third-party administrators.
Manage the processing of settlement payments for claims.
Administrative Support Produce correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.
Monitor changes in insurer contacts and facilitate communication redirection.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation/
Experience:
Prior experience in a support role required, preferably in a legal, finance, or other regulated environment.
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required; completion of secretarial training, paralegal training, accounting/bookkeeping training, associate degree, or bachelor's degree preferred.
Familiarity with legal matter databases or other matter management applications preferred.
Skills/Competencies:

Ability to manage work independently with little or no supervision.
Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
Robust written and verbal communication skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint), with a willingness and ability to learn new technologies as necessary.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
