A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Release Manager to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
Implement and manage release processes for the progression of code in the development, test, and production environments. Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects. Also work with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments.
Day to day tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
Experience in Planning the release windows and cycles across various releases
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and they meet or exceed expectations
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
Weekly Release Reporting
Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
Work with development and build team to understand impacts of branches and code merges
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
Required Skills:
Five years' knowledge of software development life-cycle; Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion; Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
Three years' experience as a Release Manager
This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT DATA. Please note, 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors will NOT be considered.
