This is a gorgeous rocking chair made by the P&P Chair Company in Asheboro, North Carolina. A piece of history and super comfortable. The Carolina Rocker, as it is known, was a chair made famous by John F Kennedy, as there are many photographs of him in it, both by himself and with his young children. Gorgeous, warm honey colored wood with tightly knit Malaysian rattan, which offers both sturdiness, firmness and a wonderful natural spring when getting up and sitting down. Both the rattan weave and wood are in excellent condition. The chair has all original hardware and has not been touched up in any way. The chair is set low for comfortable elbow support and has wide armrests for perfect balance. Minor wear to the seat as shown in photos. See photos for approximate measurements.
